Liquid Capsule Filling and Sealing Machine is specifically designed to exploit the potential of liquid and insoluble drugs or health care products that leave an unpleasant taste, odor or oxidizing discoloration. It is a fully automatic GMP compliant machine that fills and seals up to 18,000 capsules per hour (Model LCFS300) and 60,000 capsules per hour (Model LCFS1000) with oily liquid, solution, mixed suspensions or paste formulations. Compared to traditional hard capsules, liquid-filled capsules feature a wider adaptability, high transparency, high heat tolerance, moisture resistance, good sealing performance and tenacity.

In the international market, the hard capsule filling and sealing technology is mainly applied to high-end products of European and American pharmaceutical enterprises and health care product enterprises. Essentially, the hard capsule sealing procedure is done through preheating and self-adhesiveness. This basic process has certain restrictions and limitations on the material itself due to the narrow scope of application. Thus, it cannot meet the varied needs of the pharmaceutical industry and health care product enterprises. Liquid capsule filling sealing machine working principle

As the hard capsules are fed from the hopper, the cap and body are automatically separated by the vacuum positioning mechanism, and through the use of optical fiber sensors, liquid is automatically filled. The liquid filled capsules are then orderly transported to the sealing machine through the specially designed guide chute and arranged on the conveying mechanism in the same direction. After passing the gel sealing mechanism, the capsule cap body joint is automatically sealed by the sealing rollers, and then the filled and sealed capsules are transported to the drying machine to be naturally solidified in the round-trip conveying process. After the capsules are quickly dried, the hard capsule cap body sealing effect is achieved.

The structure of the liquid filled capsule is a traditional two-section type, which uses gelatin or HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) shell. It is known as the “ideal container for liquid and semi-solid preparations”.

Traditional capsules are usually divided into two categories: hard capsules (suitable for filling powder or pellet) and softgels (suitable for oily liquid such as fish oil, vitamin E and vitamin A). Compared with traditional capsules, liquid filled capsules have distinctive characteristics and wide adaptability. The liquid filled capsules have high transparency, good heat resistance, moisture resistance, sealing performance and tenacity. They are especially suitable for liquid drugs, insoluble drugs or health products with an unpleasant taste or smell, or are easily oxidized and discolored.

The ten-station rotary turntable is processed and formed in an integrated way, which is compact in structure, seamless in splicing, good in sealing, easy to disassemble and easy to maintain. The upper and lower modules move separately (the lower module moves horizontally, while the upper module moves vertically). The fixed support shaft of the upper and lower modules is sealed with double-lip-bone dust-proof rings which are oil and dust-proof. The design features include no noise, small volume, small load, a high-precision fully enclosed rotary disk, and no maintenance required within three years.

Due to the fast reaction speed, a fiber-optic sensor can realize non-contact detection with high precision, high resolution and good reliability. And the liquid capsule filling machine can quickly detect whether the hollow capsule is normally separated in the production process. If there are abnormal and unseparated hollow capsules, the optical fiber system transmits the collected data to the liquid filling station and the elimination station after detection.  When the capsules with anomalies run to the liquid filling station, in accordance with the optical fiber inspection data analysis, the filling station stops filling liquid. The capsules then whisked to the elimination station, and the abnormal unseparated hollow capsules are eliminated, ensuring the stability of the equipment in the production process.

Liquid filling mechanism, high-precision ceramic pump and servo motor liquid filling system are used to control the difference of liquid filling in the capsule less than ± 2%, ensuring an accurate dosing.

Capsule ejection system to sealing station adopts a synchronous work process between capsule mold turntable and capsule ejection turntable, so that to ensure that the capsules in each group of mold holes are evenly and orderly transferred.

The servo motor control system is adapted for use in the lifting platform. The closed sealing gel storage device is used to effectively prevent sealing gel from evaporating in the air. A heat preservation device is equipped to adjust the temperature to ensure the sealing gel reaches the best sealing state. The double-sealing-wheel is adopted to improve the sealing effect.

After sealing, the capsules are fed into the drying system. During the air drying and consolidation process, the capsules are in the free hanging drying mold hole and are always positioned in a face-up state while moving back and forth. When necessary, it is easy to disassemble when the mold needs to be changed or cleaned.

The finished product discharging bin is equipped with 12-grade limit rings. When the drying mold reaches the limit, the free hanging drying state becomes the fixed clamping state, which makes each drying mold rotate 360 degrees, it then ejects the finished product to allow it to fall into the discharging bin. Additionally, 6 air blowing pipes are equipped in the ejection system to prevent the filled and sealed capsules from remaining in the mold.
